We are looking for an experienced Leader for the Center of Excellence (CoE) Accounting in the context of the new Finance Shared Service Organization for LIXIL EMENA region. Strong understanding of Accounting, Financial Closing and Consolidation processes, hands on mentality and forward thinking with good knowledge in how to lead an internal Shared Service Center and to steer a Business Process Outsourcing provider are key.
The responsibilities of the role include:
- Establishes and manages subsidiaries` financial accounting activities in the Center of Excellence Organizations within FSSC EMENA region
- Provides leadership, planning, project coordination and management for the design and development of a cost-efficient department while concurrently facilitating efficient operations to meet current and future business needs
- Establishes EMENA-region shared service strategy including the evaluation of delivery models
- Identifies key measures of success for the shared service function and ensures continuity and successful delivery
- Fosters and maintains positive relationships with cross-functional teams
- Ensures effective definition of and delivery of shared services
- Provides overall prioritization of work assignments and management of functional team resources and their activities
- Promotes proactive approaches to solve business needs/problems, while also enhancing the understanding and acceptance of the shared service capabilities
- Develops organizational skills and identifies opportunities for and the design of common optimized processes across the business
- Negotiates priorities and support requirements with cross-functional teams, as appropriate, based on business and resource needs
- Oversight responsibilities for proper accounting treatment/book keeping for entities within scope
Your profile:
Work Experience
- At least 10 years of experience in Accounting
- Minimum 5 years of hands on Shared Services/Outsourcing experience
- Experience in establishing a regional Financial Shared Service Center and/or as Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) manager
- Background in working with senior leadership and multiple internal and external stakeholders across the globe
- Experience in leading complex projects (Accounting, IT, Process Automation)
- Team management experience for at least 10 employees
- Experience in Change management
- Experience in working with Japanese/for Japanese company
Knowledge and Skills
- Strong command of English and German
- Good communication/facilitation skills
- A hands-on experience for accounting management
- Experience of SAP ERP/SAP S/4 HANA system is an asset
- IFRS and J-SOX and/or any kind of Internal Control System equivalent to J-SOX
- Corporate Tax, VAT and WHT
- Good Presentation Skills
Education
- Related University degree
- CPA or equivalent qualification
